It also explains how the employee can apply for a flexible working arrangement. The policy should be used in conjunction with a Flexible Working Request.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_is_a_Flexible_Working_Policy_needed_in_an_organization\"><\/span>Why is a Flexible Working Policy needed in an organization?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A Flexible Working Policy is very important to reduce stress and increase the productivity of the employees within an organization. There are several reasons why a lot of organizations are adapting to the norms of Flexible Working Policy.<\/p>\n<p>For instance &#8211; It will help reduce the workload, increase productivity, and help to retain experienced employees for a longer period of time. &#8211; It also helps in decreasing absenteeism in an organization through flexible working hours and increases overall job satisfaction which leads to creativity and better stress handling. &#8211; It will also help an organization to reduce overhead costs and there is a positive impact on productivity.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_the_examples_of_Flexible_Working_Arrangements\"><\/span>What are the examples of Flexible Working Arrangements?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Different organizations have their own definition and arrangement for Flexible Working policies. The most common Flexible Working arrangements are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flexible time:<\/strong> Flexible Working time is an arrangement where an employee can work in a different time slot. For example, an employee may be working from 9 am to 6 pm daily last week and wants to change their time to 9 pm to 6 am. This will help an employee to work on their desired time slot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fewer working hours:<\/strong> Another example of flexible working arrangements is fewer working hours. Normally a full-time employee works for 40 hours in a week but there might be some cases where they are not able to work 40 hours per week so in such a situation a smaller number of working hours can help them do things parallelly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work from home\/remote working:<\/strong> There might be situations where an employee would not be able to work from the office so in such a situation a work from home arrangement can help an organization as well as employees to get things done in time. Especially during this COVID-19 era a lot of organizations have already adopted a work from home policy to stay safe from the pandemic while continuing the work.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A Flexible Working Policy is designed to provide freedom to the employees while doing the work at home or doing it for a smaller number of hours.
