For instance, the UK has adopted the GDPR: General Data Protection Regulation.  Singapore has the PDPA, which stands for \u201cPersonal Data Protection Act 2010\u201d which regulates the processing of all personal data that has been collected while making any commercial transaction.<\/p>\n<p>The General Data Protection Regulation (\u201cGDPR\u201d) is a new privacy law in the European Union (\u201cEU\u201d) that came into force on 25 May 2018. The GDPR regulates the protection of personal data, which includes any information that can be used to identify a person, such as a name, identification number, location data, or online identifier, and a wide range of other types of information.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_long_do_you_have_to_erase_data_under_GDPR\"><\/span>How long do you have to erase data under GDPR?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Once a person has given a Data Erasure Request Notification to Third Party, an organization has to respond within 30 days under Article 12.3 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
