Can a company cancel an offer letter?

Yes, a company can cancel an offer letter before any word of its acceptance or denial has been sent through. However, it cannot be canceled after a response has been sent in. Once accepted an offer letter becomes a basic legal contract between an employee and an employer. Withdrawal then-after falls under ‘Breach of Contract’.
Acceptance of an offer is necessary for a binding contract. If an employer revokes a job offer, the candidate can sue the employer.
